the wicked movie teaches important moral lessons like “be bisexual in college” and “don’t trust politicians” and “if you push someone who’s in a wheelchair without their permission, someone might throw a bench at your head with their mind”
i bet there were guys in the 1800s who were super fucking Reddit about everything, but no one had the right word yet for why those guys were so annoying. so they just had to wonder
Der lästige Kavalier (The Annoying Gentleman), by Berthold Woltze, 1874.
leave the baby alone it’s clear she did a good job
Look at her. 😭🥺
Also if anyone looks in the notes or feels like the body language is aggressive - I think this screenshot helps convey that the pallas cat isn’t threatened or hate the woman’s guts. The whiskers are pitched forward, the pupils are wide, the body language is relaxed and isn’t puffed up to seem bigger or more threatening. A lot of the “aggression” is probably more accurately desperation, or potentially even a desire to engage in play.
If the Pallas cat did hate her or felt threatened, in a safe enclosure like that it would more likely take to hiding in a corner or huddling while eyeing her warily. There’s no need to threaten or attack her in a space like that and most cats usually don’t leap to attacking from the getgo when they feel endangered. It would stay hunched up and puff up more to appear bigger. To be fair, I’m extrapolating based on domesticated cats, but while the pallas cat is a wild cat, the size is pretty comparable so it’s not a stretch to expect some similarities in how it responds to larger threats.
Tl;dr this cat definitely is not scared or angry at her and is if anything desperate and heartbroken that it can’t get to her.
